I love Oak Cottage for a bunch of reasons. I love it because I get to do nature study and watercolor. I love it because I get to read and write poems. For composer study, where we can sit and just enjoy the music. For history when we can learn how our nation was formed, declared independent, and united. I also love Ms. Anne and Ms. Laurie and how they make it to where we have fun and still learn lots.

Oak Cottage is a safe environment where you can just be yourself. You create an amazing relationship with your classmates and teachers. Ms. Anne and Miss Laurie help and encourage you with whatever you need. Before I came to Oak Cottage I struggled with doing something hard in school. But they just gently pushed me through it all. We all have so much fun in classes and we built strong relationships. I hope the friends I’ve made at OC will be life long friends. Ms. Anne and Ms. Laurie also just want you to do your best and they want you to learn.

Oak Cottage has taught me a lot about understanding everything. It has also helped me appreciate more art, literature, music, and nature. It has helped me notice things and given me a new appreciation for history. It’s a great place to make new friends. The teachers are very helpful and understanding, considerate and kind. They will be there when you need them.

Oak Cottage—a place to learn, gather with friends, and enjoy yourself. After each lesson you will be overflowing with knowledge, you will be satisfied. There are a range of wonderful classes, teachers of course. It is a stress-free environment, focused solely on learning, and making mistakes on the way in order to grow. You will be able to grow in many ways. Along with all of that, helping others grow, and feel welcomed, or appreciated, is Oak Cottage’s priority.

Oak Cottage is a peaceful, uplifting, friendly community, and the environment is so cheerful, and overall I wouldn’t go to school anywhere else.

I enjoy Oak Cottage because everyone’s opinion matters. The teachers will try to give everyone a chance to speak. At OC learning is more fun than in a standard classroom situation. Sure, the higher you go grade wise the more homework, but that is just how it is. Remember learning is fun. I especially like recitation and nature study which are in most grades to some degree. But the most important thing is its from a biblical world view.
